Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These terms govern your use of canadiancoinsandcollectibles.com and the services of Canadian Coins And Collectibles ("CCAC", "we", "us"). By using the website or engaging our services you agree to them.

Assessments and consultations

  • Pre-submission assessments and consultations are professional opinions provided in good faith. They are not a guarantee of any grade, authenticity determination, or market value that PCGS or any buyer may assign.
  • Only PCGS assigns PCGS grades. Assessment outcomes may differ from final PCGS results, and CCAC is not liable for such differences.
  • Our opinions are not investment advice. Decisions to buy, sell, hold or submit coins are yours alone.

PCGS submissions

  • You confirm that you own, or are authorized to submit, every coin you send us, and that declared values are accurate and made in good faith.
  • Submissions are subject to PCGS's own terms, service levels, fees and turnaround times, which may change without notice. We confirm the total cost with you before submitting.
  • Fees are payable before submission unless otherwise agreed in writing. PCGS fees are non-refundable once a submission is received by PCGS.
  • CCAC's liability for loss or damage in transit is limited to the amount recovered from the carrier.

Buying and selling

  • Offers to purchase are valid for the period stated and are subject to in-hand inspection. Preliminary ranges are indicative only.
  • If you decline a firm offer after inspection, your coins are returned at our expense.
  • Items we sell are PCGS-certified as described. Because certification is performed by PCGS, sales are final except where an item is not as described.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise and may change with precious-metal markets.
  • Shipping on items we sell is paid by the buyer and is quoted and confirmed before payment is collected. Tracked shipping within Canada starts at CA$14 for one to five coins and runs to CA$25 for a flat-rate box weighing up to 5 kg. Rates are set by the carrier and may change.
  • Shipping insurance is optional and is paid by the buyer. An insured parcel must also be sent by a tracked service, likewise at the buyer’s expense. Where a buyer declines insurance, we are not responsible for loss or damage in transit once the parcel has been accepted by the carrier.

Quarterly giveaway rules

  • No purchase necessary. Open to residents of Canada aged 18 or over, excluding Quebec where prohibited, and excluding CCAC staff and their immediate families.
  • Entry is by submitting your email address on the giveaway entry form on our website. One entry per person per draw. Entering the giveaway does not subscribe you to the newsletter, and newsletter subscribers are not entered automatically.
  • Entries do not carry over. When a draw closes, entries for that draw are cleared and a new coin is announced; you must enter again with your email address to take part in the next draw.
  • One winner is selected at random at the end of each calendar quarter and notified by email. The winner must respond within 14 days or an alternate will be selected.
  • The prize is as described on the website at the time of the draw (currently a 1958 Franklin Half Dollar, PCGS MS65), shipped within Canada by regular mail at our cost. Regular mail is not a tracked service. A winner who would prefer tracked shipping may request it and pay the difference. No cash substitution. Any applicable taxes are the winner's responsibility.
  • A skill-testing question may be required where applicable by law.
  • Acceptance of a prize is conditional on the winner consenting to CCAC using their full name and province of residence in winner announcements and promotional material, including on this website, our social media channels and our live show broadcasts. A winner who does not wish to be identified may decline the prize, in which case an alternate winner will be selected.
  • We will not publish a winner's email address, postal address, telephone number or any other contact details, and we will not use a winner's name to suggest that they endorse any product or service beyond their participation in the draw.

Changes to these terms

Canadian Coins & Collectibles owns and operates this website. We reserve the right to amend these terms, the giveaway rules and any of our policies at any time and at our sole discretion. Amendments take effect as soon as they are published on this page, and the "last updated" date above will be revised accordingly. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically, and continued use of this website after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

Where a giveaway is already open for entries, the rules published at the time of entry will govern that particular draw.

Website use

Content on this website is provided for general information and is the property of CCAC or its licensors. You may not reproduce it without permission. We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that the website is error-free or uninterrupted. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCAC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid to us for the service in question, or the amount recovered from the carrier in the case of shipping loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
