Our story

An Authorized PCGS, NGC, PMG & CGC Dealer specializing in graded coins, banknotes and collectibles.

Every collector eventually faces the same questions. Is this coin worth grading? What grade might it get? Is it genuine? Should I sell, hold, or submit? Answers are hard to find — and unbiased answers are harder still.

We founded Canadian Coins & Collectibles to be that answer. As an Authorized Dealer for PCGS, NGC, PMG and CGC — with a CAC dealership on the way — we bring the accountability of the industry's leading grading services, and as lifelong collectors we bring an understanding of what your coins mean to you.

Our pre-submission assessments and private consultations are built to support informed decision-making before coins are shipped or fees are paid. When you do decide to submit, we handle the process with careful, professional attention.

Garth Arnason

Co-Founder · President & CEO

With more than 25 years of business experience, Garth brings a strong, practical understanding of gold and silver bullion, and collectibles. His long-term involvement in the precious metals space gives him a clear, hands-on understanding of how to properly handle, value, and care for these products.

Garth is the owner of Arnason Distributors Ltd., a company that celebrated 25 years in business in the summer of 2026. Throughout that time, the business has grown steadily while maintaining a strong record of customer trust and satisfaction. His extensive background in logistics and operations helps ensure that every item is handled safely, securely, and professionally throughout the grading and review process.

With over 20 years of experience in numismatics, Darrell brings a practical, hands-on understanding of coins, banknotes and their current values. His interest in numismatics developed from an early age through hands-on buying, selling, and careful observation of how older coins — particularly silver — retain and grow their worth over time.

This experience has shaped a deep appreciation for coin preservation, grading, and authenticity. Today, he applies that knowledge to help collectors protect and understand their treasures, guiding members through the grading process and connecting them with trusted, authorized authenticators to ensure their items are handled professionally, securely and properly valued.
